Hello, I just discovered scuba board and I plan to take advantage of your collective knowledge as best as I can 😀
I am AOW and Nitrox, but my 50 dives were pretty easy, done in Egypt, Maldives and Myanmar, with almost no current and usually at 10-15 m, exploring the corals. I am committed now to diving 2-3 times a year, and probably in Egypt as it‘s the cheapest and only 3 hours away.
This year was actually good, as due to COVID the prices went down and we dived with whale sharks and mantas in South Ari Atol, then Hurghada in June and October, one week each. Now I’m planning my escape to Marsa Alam for New Year’s Eve.

Our local divers from the Black Sea called me an aquarium diver, and it’s accurate. I tried diving in the Black Sea, with 0.5 m visibility and I aborted after 5 minutes… it was pretty scary and could see nothing. I plan to try again once I improve my skills, so I need to practice practice practice 😁

See you around!

Welcome from the US side of the North American Great Lakes. Cold freshwater and some of the best shipwreck diving in the world.

Aquarium diver! :D I’ll have to steal that! Nice photos.

Welcome to ScubaBoard @AnaCat

Nice to see a whaleshark so early in your dive career, I had well over 1500 dives before I saw my first whaleshark.

Off topic - is your nickname Irish? What does it mean?
Yes my name is in Gaelic and it is pronounced Sharky
