Hi,

My name is Ana and I'm an open water certified since 1994. I've made few diving, most of them in Brazilian coast (including Fernando de Noronha).
Last december, my husband and I went to Cozumel and dived in coral reef. It was a fantastic experience and our instructor recommended the site.

After a some years, I"m back to the dive wolrd.

Welcome to SB. Tell us about some of the great diving in Brazil. I've been interested in Abrolhas and Fernando de Noronha for several years, and would love to learn more about the diving in your country.

Hi Dr.Bill,
You made the best choices choosing Fernando de Noronha and Abrolhos. I dived in both of them and they are both natural parks with lot of marine life and several kinds of fish. Abrolhos is a 3 hour boat trip from Caravelas (south of Bahia state). There are two options: stay in Caravelas and rent a boat or keep boarded for a few days. If you'll go in november you can ser the jubart whales. The water is warm with excellent visibility.

In my opinion, if I had to take an option? Fernando de Noronha, definitely. Why? Because this is such a beautiful place. It's located on northeast of Rio Grande do Norte state, 2 hours by plane. The island is a natural park with small inns. If you enjoy not only the the undersea life, you'll visit the most beautiful virgin beaches, with a multiple blue colors. There are many diving points and weecks. The dolphins and sharks seems to be friendly. You can dive really close to them, and the water visibility is "infinite". I dived with Aguas Claras local operator. Thy are very professional.
I hope my information helps you on your decision.
