Hello to all----I was certified in 82 but have been out of it for many years. Recently got back in so I'm a rookie but having great fun diving the springs of Florida. In May I will have a week of diving in Key West and am looking forward to that. Looks like a great board--I know that I can learn alot from the folks here and hopefully contribute as well in time.

welcome to the board, this place is great especially if you are just getting back into diving, so key west huh, im jelouse, that one of my favorite places to dive. have agreat time, see ya around the board.

Thanks for the reply----The board is great and has already been a big help-- I have been to Key West many times but this will be my first time to dive and I can't wait although I have to admit a little aprehensive about it but I sure I will enjoy it.

Welcome aboard! i'm fairly new myself on here but everybody has been really helpful and nice. I'll be in the Keys at the end of this month..can't wait for some good diving.

welcome aboard, savoy... you're in prime cave country. thinking of going that route?

also, check out the Florida Conch Diver's forum. we usually put dive trips together
two, three times per month.

Welcome to the board.
I'm from Zephyrhills. I use to live in Brandon, got to congested for me.
Check often I dive all the time. Pm me if you want to go with me.

Howdy!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue:

So, did you retrain with a different agency? Noticed Naui and Padi both. Just in case - if you have no retrained after a long dry spell, it'd be a good idea. AOW & Nitrox courses are beneficial anyway.

BTW, don't stay on Key West too long. Move back up Hiway #1 after a couple of days; better diving everywhere else on the Keys!

Check out our New to Scuba forum...

Thanks for the Welcome

Can you recommend a good Dive Operator in Key West? I hope to make several dives while there.

Sorry took so long to get back to you--I'm still learning how to use the board.

I have been diving some of the caverns here in FL that are open to OW divers and having a great time ie Blue Grotto, Paradise Springs, Weeki Wachee etc. I am considering getting cave certified but I've got a few other hurdles I need to jump first.

Thanks for the reply
