Hello from Belgium

Hi all,
As you might have figured out, I'm new to this forum and I hope to learn a lot here. Well, actually, I just started diving as OW from PADI. I made my first steps into diving thanks to my (Portuguese) girlfriend, in Portugal, last summer, even though we're living here in cold Belgium (hope we can move soon!). Amazed, dazzled etc etc by it's beauty (the beauty of the sea in this case!), I was awakened to go for my dive licence. Well, I got it, and I'm looking forward to start diving more and more. Last Easter was my last dive, during a course for underwater photography, and now I'm slowly saving money (well, actually spending it) for diving material. I can say, girlfriends cost money... As a matter of fact, their just ringing the doorbell to deliver my Suunto Cobra. After reading all good things here and elsewhere, I was pretty fast convinced in choosing a this computer. I remember my years in Ath fondly (working at SHAPE). Someday I will return for some mussels in curry-cream sauce and a Mort Subite.

Welcome to the Board!
I am also new to it (intro is Coctail Diver) and have found it very helpfull. I made a dive in the Azores a few years ago and would love to get back some day. Met some good divers from Oporto as well.

I have a ? for you. Do you know where that deep pool (33meters) is? I have heard it is near Brussels, do you know the adress and who is allowed to dive there? When I have my new gear it looks like a great place to test it out.

This pool is nearby Brussels, but where exactly it is, I don't know, I've never been there yet either. But: more info can be found on www.divingacademy.com (nemo33).

Welcome Bubbel....Diving is great and tons of fun..i've been diving myself for over 12 yrs. now and i'm always amazed at the wonders..just recently i started doing photography. And yes the Suunto Cobra is one great computer. I love it and i don't think i would trade it in for anything else. good luck with all. Feel free to ask any questions that you might have.
