My name is Martin and guess... I just entered the 'Scuba board family'.

I am living in Belgium near Antwerp, I have a wife and two kids (a boy of 12 and a girl of 10 years old)

My wife and I are both scuba divers, we started in 1997 and I am now a CMAS 3* diver, I hope to get my 4* qualification by the end of 2004. I have about 180 dives in my logbook, we mostly dive in the river Oosterschelde in The Netherlands.

I am working as a management and business consultant in the financial sector (mostly banks).
In my free time I like to travel, to watch birds, play badminton and study New Greek - My wife and I are both Greece lovers.

We have been diving in Egypt, Spain and Turkey, and ofcourse in The Netherlands and in Belgium.

Next goal:underwater photography

I already learned a lot by reading all the messages on this forum, it is a great site.

Hope to learn a lot more and to meet a lot of people to exchange diving experiences.

Martin

Welcome to the board, Martin.

Mbock,
Welcome to the board from Houston. I spent a year in Mons as a contractor. Enjoyed the food too much and the fantastic beer.
You will find a lot of good info here and plenty of friendly folk.
Dive Safe,
Larry

.....and may the diving force be with you.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

And yes, once I will have 'produced' an underwater photograph, I will post it.
But at this moment I am still trying to find out which camera will suit me best.
I've got time for that now, because during winter time I do not dive that much (about once a month), due to the fact that I always dive 'wet' and the water temperature is lower than 10° C.
