Hi everybody, just wanted to say hello and introduce myself (only 8 years after registering, lol).
I've been certified since 2004 and did some dives in '04, '05 in Maui and last year in Cozumel. Yes, big gap, marrying someone who is afraid of water and did not like beach vacations along with a bunch of life changes like buying a house, police academy etc etc kinda put a damper on the whole scuba thing for a few years. Following a divorce (no, not because of diving, lol) I decided to get back into it last year. I have a total of about 25 dives so I still consider myself a newbie. My girlfriend just passed her confined dives and we're headed off to Rivera Maya next week where she'll do her open water dives in Akumal with Natalie and Ivan. We're planning to do a few more dives after that (probably 4-6 each).

Anyway, that's my quick hello and thank you all for such a great resource!

Its important to have the same interest. My wife and I dive every week here in Maui together. Its nice especially since there is no talking involved.LOL
