Hi all. I've been diving off and on for the past 12 years...mostly off for the past 4-5. Trying to find the time to get back into it. I'd love to do some shore dives here in So Cal. My weekends are occasionally free so shoot me a pm if interested. Also, there's a good deal going on right now from Marina Del Rey out to Catalina ($39 instead of &79). I 'm in the same situation except i have more time than money, thanks for the Catalina discount cruise. I live in Pasadena and am getting my gear in detail right now. but I 'd love to do Laguna and maybe Palos Verdes. My recollection of Palos Verdes is not so hot. Love to hear any ideas you have. Yep, round trip. I think the deal might still be available but haven't checked recently.

Sure would be nice if the Catalina Express lowered its rates, at least as a special, since one of the complaints I hear frequently is the cost of the RT ticket (others being the cost of most hotels).

You are right about the price Dr. Bill on the CE. Even for us seniors it is $60 RT + $14 for parking.
Wish they could have a week day special, heck I ride my bike over to the ferry office in Long Beach to have lunch upstairs from the Express and I see the boat has only have a few people geting on, so maybe a lower price would increase the volume of people going.
