Hey all,
I’m Corey and though I’ve been certified OW since 97 and I’ve lived in the Bay Area for two years now…I’ve never dove here. I got certified when I was stationed at Bangor sub base in Washington and actually don’t mind the cold water. I guess being a computer geek the last couple years has made me feel like I needed to focus more on my job since if I lost it about 500 laid-off geeks would be standing in line for it. Well I feel the need to have some fun now. I just got back from a dive trip to Florida and want to keep the diving bug happy and healthy.
Looking for a buddy or just advice on where to go and when. I was going to do a shore dive with a shop called Aquatic Discovery, out of Santa Clara, two weeks ago but I guess the rain made the vis really bad. Anyone know any other shops to buddy with that are good? I’m in Redwood City BTW.

Thanks all,

Corey

Hi Corey,

Welcome to SB! Make sure to post an intro thread over on our local NoCal SB forum and say hi to the local SF Monterey divers too ;)

Hi Corey! I'm super super new to Scuba, but I was told Monterey has some pretty good sites
