Hello to everyone. I'm new to ScubaBoard.

I'm really into underwater photography and hope I can find some good advice here. I've got an Olympus 5060 with a PT-020 housing. A question I have is this: Under the accessories part of setting up the camera you can select the underwater house. When selected what does the camera do?
 
What a service rep at oly said is it adjusts the cameras lense to shoot through the housing properly, that was the only answer i got when i called cus service and asked.
