Just received a helix dm dive watch i ordered off ebay!!Looking forward to seeing how it works.I believe it will be a big asset for my diving experiences..one question..It says in the manual that you shouldnt push the buttons when under water but then how do you activate the light in low light conditions or does it mean just dont push buttons but the rotating bezel is ok to push in depth to activate light??

Just dive deeper so you can use your HID to "illuminate" the face.

Before you dive, just turn the light on. Then if you rotate the main crown the light will come on.

But in the "Dive Chrono" mode, the manual essentially tells you to press the buttons underwater to start the next dive segment. Like mempilot says, just shine your light on it. If you can't read it without the backlight, you'll certainly have a dive light, right?!?

I've had no problems pushing the buttons in or under the water.

Just make sure you don't try to eat it.
I know, I know, it looks tasty!

I don't care who you are. That der is funny! Is that real? Or, are you just handy on the puter?

It's from the Helix instruction booklet! The instructions are pretty funny.

Best instructions ever! Seriously funny stuff.

I push the buttons on mine, though really I just use it for a backup timer/depth/temp guage.

Biggest drag is that short strap...
