I'm wanting to build a rip off of the Halcyon Helios 9. I'm wondering what bulb there using?

Are you talking about the 10W or the 18W? Anyway, I belive that they are both made by the same manufacturer: Welch Allyn.

The 18W light I belive they are using direct is $133.00 per bulb for quantities up to 10, and you need to also get a ballast for $96.00. To round it off, you need a test tube to protect the bulb, a reflector to focus the bulb, and ofcourse need to build a waterproof housing to hold it all together.

The 10W bulbs in general list for $500.00 per developer kit which includs 5 ballast/bulb combinations. You can't get the 10W lights in smaller quantities direct. Not sure which one exactly they are using as the ballasts have different max voltage limits.

I would like to know the part number for the 10w and 18w bulbs there using.
