Haven't been a real night life enthusiast for many years - not since the old Neptune Disco was operating, and the old Carlos & Charlies was on the second floor on Melgar north of the Plaza. But I am aware (don't ask me how) of some of the "Single Adult Male" entertainment options on Cozumel, like Barco, just south of the International Pier, where beers for customers are $5 and beers for the Bar Maids (who will gladly rent their time and talents in the back rooms for the right price) are $20. Then there is Caribbean Queen, which used to be on the Transversal road, back about 3 Km from town (I heard that it relocated to Ave 65 a ways south of downtown, don't know just where), where the girls who danced on poles were also glad to rent out their time and talents. Then there is Club California, on the road straight back rom the International Pier (where the stop light is), which charges a cover charge to get in and watch girls dance on poles and possibly rent their time. Club California is just back from Club Salsa, not a nightlife location, as it is only open when the Cruise Ships are in port, but it's another location where mostly Cruise Ship Crew types buy a few beers and rent the time and services of female companionship. If morally questionable erotic nightlife is not what you are looking for, afraid I can't help you other than to recommend party type bars like Wet Wendy's, Kelly's (a sports bar, lots of TVs covering whatever is going on - Baseball playoffs, NFL Games, College Footbal, etc.) or El Moro (way back in town, great local food, cheap drinks, and a very fun place).

If you drink so much that the cost of the drinks is a big enough portion of your vacation budget that it dictates where you stay, then why not just stay home and drink? You probably won't know or care where you are, anyway. :D

I am only partly joking. After a Cozumel fishing trip where I caught two white marlins that I don't remember at all and after that spent the whole next day with a sick raging hangover, I realized that drinking too much on an expensive vacation is an unacceptable waste of my hard earned money and PTO. I still enjoy a few beers and the occasional margarita when I am on Cozumel, but getting drunk is right out.

DSFDF and YMMV.
