Hawaii Appreciation dive

Sometimes it takes a dive somewhere else to show you how good the diving in Hawaii is. I just did two dives in SoCal at La Jolla Shores. 5ft vis, 53 degrees, and I saw three crabs and one starfish.

Three weeks and I’m back in Hawaii.

Hey, Hey,....Your talkin' about my home waters. I miss that place. Did you sneak over to Scripps Canyon? Marc Hall should be able to take you over there, he's a DM for the club that has access.

I'm looking forward to diving with you when you get home.

If these are your home waters I feel sorry for you, it should be renamed SoCold... but I'm a glutton for punishment, so I'm heading up to Monterey to take the essentials class with Joe.

Ya, after doing about 70 dives in Hawaii I went back home and dove a quarry for the hell of it. It was cold, murky, and I only saw 1 fish.

The ironic part is that the one dive shop we have in my hometown for Fairfax, VA is far better than the one we have in Hilo, HI, when Hilo has far better diving.

You should have fun with Joe, he's a great instructor. I know I enjoyed it while he was here.

that is kinda funny. But that's the nice thing about Hawaii. I like the islander mentality & laid-backness
