We were there 3 years ago with our daughter who was 5 and she did the dolphin camp and is still talking about it. They have a great program for the kids, really keeps them buisy. A typical day for us would be wake up, eat breakfast, go on dive, come back to akr for S.I., at which time the crew changes tanks on the boat, go on 2nd dive, back for lunch, go on 3rd dive, back for dinner, go on night dive, sleep, repeat next day. The last day was a dolphin presentation where we watched the kids swim and do tricks with them and also learned about the dolphins.
The stairs are good for you, work off that extra desert you ate.
The no-see-um bugs were not nearly as bad as the mosquitos around here.
I think a non diver could be kept very buisy, there is a snorkel boat that goes out twice a day.
We had a standard key hut that is primative but nice, no air and didn't really need it. The huts have massive screened windows that let plenty of air to blow through if you keep the shutters open.
Theres was a wild bash one night with food, drinks, music and dancing, It's something how much you can jam to a band that consists of a bongo, congo and conch shell horn.
AKR is a top notch dive resort.
