August 2004 sees the beginning of the underwater.com.au Photo Competition 2004-05 a new competition providing amateur underwater photographers with the opportunity to win over A$6000 worth of prizes.

underwater.com.au is far from being a commercial website that tries to sell stuff, we are a community meeting place where people can share their photos, stories and discuss current issues or travel plans. It is run by a committed team of divers whose main goal it is to promote diving around the whole of Australia, show the beauty that lies underwater and do something to help to protect it.
July/August 2004 sees the launch of the underwater.com.au Guide to Underwater Australia 2004-05 - 55,000 FREE A3 maps that fold down to handy A6 brochures which are distributed to most dive shops as well as to major Tourism Info Centres around Australia.
