Have you heard of this Niobiconn?
Should work to enable in-water battery changes for lights, scooters...whatever.
 
Those things are huge. I suppose if you need to jump start the dead battery on your Uboat they would be what you want.

I prefer Teledyne Impulse connectors. Same benefits as claimed by the above mentioned connectors in the ad but much smaller.

Yeah these things are like 1/2 the size of a suit battery pack lol

Also you can't just dump power from one li-ion to another like with an SLA battery. They have a maximum acceptance rate of charge which is roughly equal to the cell capacity (3000mah cell = 3amp rate of charge max). Which means you'd need to have an insanely long dive to make any meaningful recharge progress. Also smart charging circuits are actually as expensive as the actual cells in many cases.
