Thatās great! Any chance you could share some more information on how you accomplished this? We emailed his principal and he asked for the name of a college in California that would actually grant the credit so weāre stuck on this step for now.My son received high school pe credit for his open water course. We homeschooled through a public school in Alaska for the Diploma. He did not apply to college yet so I have no help there.
TAMG offers an OW class, Scientific diver class, and cave class, all for credit.Not sure if this helps you or not.
The State of Texas used to require at least one PE credit in order to graduate from a state related educational institution. A number of years ago, the State dissolved that requirement much to the disappointment of many local diveshops.
In the university where I work, there used to be a course called PEB 1119 which was one credit. The administration eventually removed it.
However, I believe Texas A&M in Galveston still offers credit under their KINE 199 program. You may want to contact them to see how that works.
