I will be traveling to Puerta Vallarta and was wondering what I might expect to find? Is it worth lugging all my equipment down?

I appreciate the help.

I think this needs to be moved to the Mexico forum for more exposure!

I was there in Feb. 2003. I only did one dive there and was not very impressed. Still it was better than no dive. I dove Isla Marietas. There were some other sites I'd of like to hit, but I had 4 kids with, so it was not to be.

No big deal but we are all divers so we should learn to use the verb "to dive" correctly. The past tense of dive is "dove" or "dived" both are correct but the past participle of dive is "dived".

For example, "I dove yesterday" but "I have dived Puerto Vallarta".

I looked it up in Webster's 20th Century Unabridged.

This has been discussed before in other threads. You'll find it in a search. But I'm sure we can all feel safer now that the dictionary police have joined the boards.

Hello HelmetHEC

Certainly not an expert on the PV area, but my recent trip there proved that hauling the gear is worth it. It's just always best to depend on your own gear when you down deep. Diving the wall is of course a rush.
