I need to get a harness for an aluminum backplate I got. I have a steel plate that will remain my primary set up but wanted another lighter option. I have seen a HOG option, and a light monkey about the same price. Deep6 has an option but not sure on the coated webbing, VDH is currently not available. Then it seems the price jumps. Any recommendations, or exerience with the above options?

Check out both Dive Gear Express and Piranha Dive Manufacturing. Both offer great products for a fair price and excellent service as well.

Dive Rite basic harness is good and cheap at about $44.00. I use it on my AL plate as well. It does not include a crotch strap though

2 angled D-rings
2 straight D-rings
4 tri-glides
1 quick release belt buckle
16 feet flat nylon webbing
all in a 2 inch size comes to $24.30

that is without a crotch strap with adds another 9.00.

That’s where I was at, the 2 inch crotch strap is like 19.99 or something so pretty close to $45 that the kits are at with hunger and some other random parts, a toss up in my book.

Dive gear express had some OMS for cheap in their blow out section
