any other good books to get while I wait for a solution?
scubaboard ? not a book exactly but if you scan through regulators topics we are lucky to have few very knowledgeable members that posted wealth of information on regulators. I actually learned more reading their posts over years rather than reading books.
 
Will being doing Apeks xtx mainly. I found their manually but figured having some well known literatures for some leisure reading wouldn't be bad.
 
Regulator Savvy. Clear and well written. The blurb about pushing tools is to be expected and not gospel. Plus he no longer owns Scuba Tools but they still make some of the best tools out there for reg repair.
 
I do all my Aqualung Legend regs service. The Legend is very similar to the Apeks. I'll send you a link to the services I've done. I talk about the nuances of the reg to look for and to do during the assembly...
