If Facebook were a country, it would be the third largest in the world. WOW!!!

If you have a social media plan, please share it with us here. How are you planning to use this awesome resource?

Am I alone in the world in finding Facebook creepy?

No ... so far I've avoided Facebook. In part, because I already spend too much time on the computer. But in part because I find that so many people I know who use Facebook are becoming Facebook-dependent ... and that's creepy ...

I use facebook commercially because I'd be missing a marketing trick if I wasn't but I am definitely of the mind that for personal use it is definitely high in the creepiness stakes! It's the holding of so much information about people and what they do, where they are, etc, etc - definitely creepy! But as I said it doesn't stop me marketing to those who don't mind using that particular type of social media. I think calling it social media is somewhat misleading - isn't it? As far as I can tell it's all about marketing, the social media part is just the bait used to generate that valuable marketing information. I have to say it's a brilliant idea to get people to volunteer to tell you all about themselves in huge detail on an almost daily basis without having to pay them anything!

Rob, do you realize that you can post/market to Facebook right here from ScubaBoard? We're the easy button for Social Networking for the Scuba Industry.
