Handle for the WP-DC90

Anyone out there have a good suggestion for a basic tray and handle for the Canon WP-DC90 housing? I sure like what Gilligan did for a basic setup on his PT-010 (see his sticky in the Tips and Techniques).

I don't expect to go for a strobe right now but something more than the housing to hang onto would be sweet! It may also reduce the possibility of the latch accidentally getting pulled loose.

No clue OL'B4bC....., I find that when tied to my wrist with the wrist lanyard.
I very rarely have difficult in finding the camera for taking a shot.

Also I wouldn't worry about you accidentally opening the latch underwater as even with the latch in the open position, the housing most likely would not open as the pressure exerted on the housing is of such force that it remains closed.

Next time you go diving, open the latch and see how hard it is to open the housing when you're back on land!!
I think you'll be rather suprised .

What's that in your housing photo? a tray witha flashliught (strobe?) attached. Does this really do the job? Fill me in please.

Not Ryan but....the tray consists of the blue handle and the base. The photo shows the additon of an attachment to hold a focusing light, not a strobe.

Thank you Dee. Is the 'focusing light' just a normal dive light or a phto speciality item somewhere. Do you know where to get such a set up?

I went with the Ikelite handle, simply because it it was easily compatible with the strobe. Have to admit though, the ULCS options are also good.

if i'm correct, thats a UK mini-40 divelight. It can be attached to your mask strap, but that looks cooler than attaching a torch to your mask ;-)
