Hey, I have a halcyon 6lb weighted single tank adapter. It's not coated in anything, just bare lead. Can I remove the weight and just use the STA (in warm water, for example).

The weight is held in place by the two wing nuts used to fasten the STA to the plate.
Remove the nuts and the weight will fall off the STA.

Actually, this is the non epoxy-coated version. I couldn't find any info about if it could be removed online.

Has this worked for you with a non-coated one in the past? Mine is pretty stuck in there, even without the wing nuts.
