I'm a Fish!
I just recently purchased a Halcyon Infiniti 30 lb wing set-up. I am in the process of getting it fitting to me and I noticed that this wing has a really short corrugated inflator hose....like standard 12". I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a longer replacement hose to fit.....say around 20-22". I called Extreme Exposure where I purchased the wing and they said that Halcyon only makes the standard 12" and the shorter 9" corrugated hoses.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

I buy my stuff, including a longer hose for my Halcyon wing, from this place--> Dive Gear Express. They have always given me great service and fast shipping.

Here's the page for the corrugated hoses (and probably a longer LP hose as well). Just scroll down the page to "Components & Parts".--> Wing stuff

Halcyon uses pretty standard components, so the Dive Rite stuff fits just fine.

You could give it a try as is ... I think you might like it ...?

If not, you can find longer inflator hoses at the bottom of this page:

I have a 16" dive rite hose in excellent shape I'd be happy to trade for a 12" one, if that would help you. Send me a PM. Dive rite makes three sizes, 12", 16", and 22". I can't imagine anyone wanting a 22" inflator hose unless you're using a octo/inflator combo.

Thanks!!! I will have to check those sites out. I was looking at a Dive Rite 22" hose as a possible alternative.

I had been diving a jacket style BCD for a long time and I was convinced by a DiveMaster friend of mine to try a back-inflate BCD so I did. I dove an Oceanic Excursion for a while and ran across several people diving BP/W set-up and I really liked the simplicity of it. So I recently purchased a Halcyon Infinity 30 lb set-up. Since I am used to diving a conventional BCD with an Air-2, I figured that I might try to adapt an Air-2 to the Halcyon wing. I am not a technicial diver and dive more for recreation. I like the idea of less is more and thus the reason that I liked the Halcyon. I also currently do not have a free standing octo or backup reg like most of the technical set-ups have other than my octo/air-2 which is why I am wanting to purchase a separate longer hose to attach my Air-2 so I can keep the original standard 12" hose just incase I later decide to which over to a more DIR technical set-up.
But right now, I am adapting a set-up that suits my needs best for ME!!!

You can definitely put an Air2 on these wings. I have a Atomic SS1 on mine. When I did it I got some good advice from DA Aquamaster, since he also has one on a Halcyon. The page I listed has shoulder dump valves that will screw right on to the Halcyon. But, and there's always a but, if you're going to go with a shoulder dump there are some things to consider. The length of the LP hose is a big factor. The corrugated hoses on most BC's that come with an integrated inflater only require a short pull to activate the dump. The hoses that Dive Rite makes require a slightly longer pull, so you need to have a LP hose that is long enough to allow for the dump to be activated. Other issues are that the hoses for these wings are much "floppier" than the other hoses, so when you have a corrugated hose long enough to allow for full head movement (another consideration) with the integrated second in your mouth (I think standard is 22"), it does tend to hang down and flop around more than the other hoses. That's about all I can think of at the moment.

Simplicity goes away once you start changing the system...

Yea, I am not necessarily interested in the pull dump valve, I just want to change the inflator out. I also have an Atomic Aquatics Titanium SS1 that I am wanting to put on mine. I know some people think its crazy, but you either have an extra octo hanging around or you can have a slightly extra long inflator hose with an Air-2 on it........
