Hi,

May any more informative guys here, tell me which one is cheaper in prices?

The Halcyon Pioneer or the Halcyon Eclipse (both with their lightest lift on their wings)

Anyone ever tried both, and what is the differences in term of quality?

Thank you in advance. ;)

The Pioneer is made of a single layer of urethane coated nylon. It is cheaper and comes with built-in tank stabilizing rods so you can strap your tank directly to your backplate with no single tank adapter.

The Eclipse has a nylon outer bag which contains and protects the separate, waterproof inner bladder. It is more expensive, but also more durable and more easily repaired. It has no tank stabilizing rods and requires the use of a single tank adapter.

Thanks Jonnythan for your information. Happy Diving........

What Jonnythan said. Ive had my pioneer for almost 2 years and probably 200 dives on it or more and havent had any probs. But Im sure the Eclipse will get better mileage.

I have both the pioneer and eclipse. all prior comments are correct. One thing to note on the eclipse is that with the dual layer bladder, you will occassionally find that air can get trapped between the shell and the bladder itself. TO aviod this, make sure the cell if completely filled prior to entry, or get into a head-down position (which will allow the trapped air to exit the bottom "weep" holes in the shell).
