I have very skinny calves-O.K. there, I said it!!!!!!!!

However I wear an XLARGE dry suit.

I thought that a pair of Gator Wraps would help eliminate the dead space that normally would be filled by a pair of normal, healthy calves. This would help minimize foot/head inversion.

Any experience with these? Good, Bad?

Thanks

I use Gator Wraps with my DUI CLX-450 and I love them. It's such a simple idea, all trilam suits should come with them.

I find the air shift to my feet is greatly reduced. Also, I no longer need ankle weights. I have managed to get inverted under controlled conditions just to see what it would take. I had to really fill the suit with air before it became a problem.

The only potential drawback I can see is it is harder to adjust trim by purposely allowing air to reach your legs and feet - something I don't really need to do as I'm pretty much trimmed out (finally!!).

It's also two more pieces of gear to keep track of - and, at around $70.00, they're a bit pricey for what they are. They must cost all of $5.00 to produce.

Still - I wouldn't be without them now and they come highly recommended!!

I use them with my drysuit and have found them to be worthwhile, although I am careful about where I position my feet. I inverted myself during training and really don't want to have that experience again.
