The Explorer 9, 21 watt HID comes with a 9 Ah NiMH battery pack, locking latches, stainless steel fittings, universal charger, hands-free Goodman handle, lifetime warranty on canister, and it is rated to 300 ft. NiMh batteries provide more than 50% greater energy density than lead-acid and allow light canisters to be a fraction of the size of conventional dive lights. Canisters are milled from a solid rod of Delrin.
Current burn time is approximate 200 minutes. I was able to get four (50-60) minute dives out of it before it needed to charge.
Purchased new in October 2013 from Halcyon directly.
Send to Halcyon in July 2015 for inspection, new cord and testing.
Never been flooded.
No corrosion on any of the contacts.
Includes spare bulb.
Minimal scratching on head, canister and exterior.
