SparticleBrane:NCSU has a set of 25 Eclipse 40s that we use for our training. We've had them for two years now, and there are a few that have the seams starting to fray a bit. In this case I believe it's a bit different though--each has several hundred pool dives in a heavily chlorinated pool by brand new divers, so they've taken a LOT of abuse. They're turning greyish now from the chlorine but they still work great.
The problem is only conserning a past production series. It's not a general problem with the Eclipse at all. And as mentioned, Halcyon has stood up for the mistake and replaced just about every wing with this problem. It's nothing to worry about for present and future buyers, unless there are dealers stuck with a lot of old wings.
