Has anyone here dived both the HOG 32# singles wing and the Halcyon Eclipse setup?

I ask as I currently am a walking billboard for HOG gear, i've invested in 5 different HOG wings now, and am totally happy with the setup.

However someone has just offered me an effectively brand new Halcyon Eclipse setup for a trivial amount of money. At first I jumped at it, but now i'm wondering if I should pass on it and let some other lucky person have it.

Has anyone dived both and care to comment on whether the Halcyon setup is really worth the extra retail price? Does it feel any better in-water ?

Thanks

haven't dove a HOG set up yet but i didn't find anything special about the halcyon when i had one...felt like my apeks, like my DR, etc.

The blue H is cool... maybe you should pass this good deal to other SB members who are looking for a set.

Well, to me a BP/W is a BP/w .. it's all in how you configure it for your needs. But to some, that Blue H is worth a premium. If the price is as trivial as you say, perhaps you should buy it and then put it up for sale for whatever you can get for it.

It's called capitalism and it really isn't a dirty word...

There are a few small differences that may or may not matters to you, plus a few cosmetic differences.
1) H offer regular size and small size plate. HOG plate is one of the longer plates out there, not by much, but sometime and for someone it will come down to that 1/2".
2) H wing requires you to use a STA. Weight can be added to the STA too. If you need the weight, it is more convinient. If you don't want STA, the HOG is the way to go.
3) HOG wing seems to be a bit wider than H wing, not sure if that is pure cosmetic or has any pratical differences.
4) H plate is machine much nicer than anything else on the market.

If everything else is equal, it comes down to your wallet. If $ doesn't matter, H gives you everything else HOG does + some bling and the blue H. If cost conscience, HOG should does everything halcyon does for less money.

Thanks all. I'll pass on the H and let some other person enjoy it.
