Hi,
I was wondering if any Halcyon Pioneer Wing users with integrated tank adapters can help me out with an adjustment question.
I am very aware of how to adjust my harness to move the backplate position, as well as adjusting my crotch strap. The problem is, following Halcyon's guidelines I am hitting my head on the back of my tank while in the horizontal position.
Here is the confusing part, I have the backplate lower than they recommend and I attach the tank to the upper part of the Wing..right before the tank curves in. When I standup on the surface or am horizontal in the water, the first stage is nowhere near my head. As soon as I go horizontal it creeps up on me and is rather annoying.
Do I have my crotch strap too loose causing it to ride up on me?
Because I need to mount the backplate lower, my harness is really loose when I'm horizontal. It doesn't bother me, but I can fit more than a few fingers under it.
When I adjusted the BP to Halcyon's specs and stand up on the surface with the tank strapped in, I would literally turn my hands purple because it was cutting off circulation to my arms....way too tight. I kept adjusting it looser and looser until the tank would not hit my head, but I think I am doing something wrong.
It is obviously riding up on me in the horizontal position because the weight of the tank is not forcing it down....
Any takers?
Thanks,
Jason
