What are the prices typically like on "Halcyon" SS bolt snaps (both swivel eye and double-ended)? It doesn't seem to be the kind of thing extreme exposure lists on their website :)

(Nah, I'm not a Halcyon addict or anything, I just know for a fact that the snaps my LDS sells aren't the preferred stainless steel)

Jeff

I pay almost 7 bucks a pop for the swivel-eye type, dunno about doubles.

I really doubt Halcyon actually makes these things, likely you can get same at a marine supply store but I'm with you, all things being equal, I buy Halcyon.

Give Extreme Exposure a call or drop them an email, they're nice folks and will respond promptly. EE = Halcyon you know.....

I paid 8 bucks a pop for my bolt snaps and only got one double ender and it was the largest size for 12 bucks. All thru Halcyon.

There a nice quality and i couldnt find them any place else, so i bit the bullet and got a bunch thru Halcyon. I am happy with them too.

This has come up a few times - this guy sells both 3/4" and 1 1/8" SS bolt snaps on eBay, at a fraction of the price of other sources. They are "MAST" brand, and great quality - I use them on lights, hoses and some other stuff in salt water, and they are perfect.

3/4" - 15 for $38 posted ($2.53 each)
1 1/8" - 10 for $37 posted ($3.70 each)

Excellent. I was looking at some from McMaster-Carr for $8/piece, I'm glad to see a (much) cheaper alternative :)

Thanks,
Jeff

You can get big stainless ones from Hennigan's Hardware in N.Y.at about $6.50 each. You have to buy 10 at a time though.
