Hey,
I purchased a 36lb. Pioneer system and I haven't got it wet yet but I have a few questions...

When I don the outfit the pulldump is flat against my back/butt with the wing inflated, is this normal?

The lifting handle is useless, I can't lift the BP/wing with the lifting strap because the first stage is in the way. I have an Apeks TX50 reg and with the swivel head I can't find a good way to setup the hoses, does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Craig

When you're horizontal in the water, if there's any air in the wing, it will be flat up against the tank. In this case, the pull dump is far enough away from your butt that it's easy to grab. One of those things where surface logic doesn't count...

As for the handle.. you'll probably have to move the tank *down* in the straps when you get in the water. I put my top camband as far up the tank as I can, and that keeps me from banging my head on it while I can still reach the valve in the water. When placed here, I can use the handle just fine.

That's where the pull dump is meant to be. When you use it lifting up slightly on the bottom of the bladder will put the valve in a position where it will dump.

I wouldn't use that handle to lift the rig when attatched to a tank. That's your bladder you'll be pulling on.

Have you tried turning the reg sideways so the hose can face down?

Another BP question... can you weave some webbing to the BP itself to make a carrying handle? On most of our dives (dunno how it is in other countries) ... but here we remove our rig on the surface, then hand it to the boatman... who lifts it out of the water, then into the boat... and most of the time, they drag it up by either the 1st stage or whatever strap they can reach first...

I'd like to limit them grabbing my 1st stage or anything else... I was thinking of weaving some 1" webbing around the top... just to make a small looped handle through the BP for the boatmen to lift my rig from. I figured doing this would be the strongest way of attaching a handle to my rig... as well as minimizing damage.
