well i never come across anything that can defeat my hair after a dive. I get the comb about 2cms through and it gets stuck! If i put it into braids that seems to help a bit though. If you managed to make a product which prevented this you'd be minted lol! (despite how everyone else seems to have already got their own solutions on this board!)

I've never ever found anything that can get through my rats nest, so I save combing till the end of a dive day with copious amounts of conditioner and oil treatment.

FWIW the best I have found is Biolage Conditioning Balm. I have longish hair - about to the middle of my shoulder blades - and it's quite fine but pretty thick & heavy...I have a lot of hair! A nickel sized squirt is all I need for all day on the boat and multi dives. Fresh (or not so fresh) water rinse, comb. Done. I've also found that it works just fine by putting a pump or two into one of those small travel spritzers and fill it water. Lasts for ages as I don't need much.

So, no, I guess I wouldn't buy something else as this works so well and a single bottle lasts me for a year or more...
