Just got a email from a friend that subscribes to a news letter where these guys were sitting around throwing a Ping Pong ball around and asked that question.

So... down they went... and were all surpried with the answer. So was I.

Try and guess, and if want PM me for the answer and the source.

Nope, it was beyond recreational depths.

30 meters. I don't play PP but those balls must be pressurized and or tough to give a decent bounce.

I think a bigger issue than pressurization is actually physical shape. Since a ping-pong ball is perfectly round, it's one of the strongest shapes to resist external pressure known to man.

Go ahead and squeeze an egg long-wise as hard as you can. Eggs aren't pressurized, but you can't break one that way, either.
