Personal note: Steve Millington is a really great instructor....I thoroughly enjoyed the Fundamentals class that my teammates and I took with him! Bob Sherwood is an incredibly nice, fun guy, and I've never heard a single bad thing about him as instructor. If you're interested in taking a GUE class, this is a really great opportunity....do not miss out!

I was fortunate to have both Bob Sherwood and Steve Millington teach my Fundies class. If you can swing it, do it, I promise they will not disappoint.

Sounds like a great opportunity. BTW does anyone actually recognize Columbus Day Holiday anymore ;-)

Actually I've heard LOTS of great things about Bob as an instructor! This is quite an opportunity! You'd be lucky to have both Bob and Steve teach your Primer course.

I would be tempted, but I doubt I have that Monday off.

I had Bob for my Tech 1 class a few years ago. He's an incredibly gifted diver and educator. He's passionate about diving and teaching, and really goes above and beyond to give to his students.

If you can make this class, I'd highly recommend it. Having both Bob and Steve (also a great instructor from what I've seen and heard) work with you for a couple of days can only do wonderful things for your diving. Might even be worth calling in sick if you don't have Columbus Day off. :)

I was going to suggest calling in sick as well! This class would be worth it.

FWIW, I have no doubt that Bob/Steve would be able to have bp/w's available if you don't have your own. You would need a long hose and bungeed back-up (but hoses are relatively cheap), and rigid non-split fins.

This is a great opportunity for those who are thinking of taking a GUE class. I'd recommend contacting Steve or Bob before the October 9th event, but I imagine they could probably accommodate if no one signs up before then (though that would need to be confirmed with one of them). Please let me know if I can help at all....or contact Steve or Bob!

Steve and Bob are worth calling in sick. :shocked2:

Don't tell your boss I said so.
