Viviane Robert died while supervising a trip to the Royan diving club.
Friday, a diving accident took place during a trip organized by the Royan Ocean Club Diving in Spain. Viviane Robert, 60, died during an underwater trip, while accompanying a group of young Royans in the Medes Islands, off Catalonia.
According to the "Diari de Girona", a local newspaper, the facts took place this Friday, August 23 at midday, while Viviane Robert was immersed in a place she knew well to have already dived. During the expedition, the sexagenarian, member of the ROC Royan for many years and used to this sport, alerted a member of the group when she began to experience difficulties. One of the guides then intervened to help him get back to the surface.
Athletic accomplished
During the ascent, and while there were only a few meters before returning to the surface, Viviane Robert lost consciousness . Quickly alerted, the emergency services, the police and a helicopter emergency medical system came to the site. Around 13 hours, the doctor could only confirm the death of the sexagenarian.
