Will arrive in Roatan on Sat Jun 4. Staying in a condo in French Harbour. It is very close to Eldon's supermarket if I read the map correct. But, I seem to remember that Eldon's might be closed on Saturdays. Can someone confirm?

If closed, are there other options on Saturday? I believe there is a market in Coxen Hole but not sure where it is or what it is called.

Thanks for any help.

IDK the name either but it's across the street about a block away from the hospital on the same main street.

In French Harbour (FH), there is indeed the MegaMall that has "Hiper Mega", look for the hideously misplaced Ferris Wheel out front. It was erected there to remind you that Roatan is truly in Honduras.

Eldon's in FH is also called "Sun Grocery".

"Plaza Mar" is between the airport and French Harbour.

In the town of Coxen Hole, that one is called "HB Warren". Check out the small soft goods selection upstairs.

Also in Coxen Hole is Mercado Municipal, an open air market where most tourists never go to see them slicing up a cow. Kinda' down home & tribal.

Fishing around for dinner? See the "Flying Fish" people for a good selection. (look for the sign near HB Warren)

Just to avoid anyone confusion, Plaza Mar is West of the airport and not between airport and FH unless someone is taking you on the scenic route through beautiful Coxen Hole , good size cement building up on the hill just past Eldons Sun Gas station, Bojangles and the Pizza place, looks like it was painted by Florida Gator fans.

Thanks RTBDiver. I get lost a lot, especially when I'm hungry.
