Grey Whale at Shaws Cove, Laguna Beach, CA

On Dec 18, 2011 my cousin Rebecca, uncle Tom, and I (Kris) went out for a shore dive at Shaw's Cove in Laguna Beach, CA. On the return leg back to shore our jaws dropped as a young grey whale happened to pass by within yards of us. Water temp was around 58 deg. and a depth of 30-35ft. and only about 30 yards out from the shore. My cousin was also able to film the whale as it passed by and then making a U-turn as if only to check us out. Grey Whale at Shaws Cove, Dec 18, 2011 - YouTube
