Looking at planning a trip to Grenada for diving and to check it out as a future destination for our sailboat. Any recommendations for dive operators? Dive sights?

I dove with Aquanauts a couple of years ago and would recommend them. Great service. I stayed on Grand Anse. Some days pick up by boat, others by car to their True Blue bay location. The Bianca C is (was) the "big" wreck. I didn't get much out of the "Sculpture Garden". YMMV.

Dove with Dive Grenada 3 days last week... picked me up and dropped me off daily from my hotel, carried my gear to and from the boat. Boat is small, so they are not a cattleboat operation, and you will dive in small groups. Dive time is about 50min per dive. The guys who went through their tanks faster were sent up and the rest of the group continued. I requested the Bianca C when I booked and they made it happen. Be aware that it is pretty deep at 150+ ft.

One other shop at my hotel I snorkeled with (with my kids) had a 2-tank scuba group on the same boat. TBH, if I were diving those snorkel sites, I think I would have been disappointed.

Went for a week with Dive Grenada last April. Great dvies. Here's my full report:

Grenada April 2016 Trip Report

I checked recently and the hotel where we stayed (Flamboyant), which was adjacent to Dive Grenada, has since closed down. But the non-hotel aspects of the trip report are still valid.

Dove Flamingo Bay on 7 April, very nice dive. Sandy bottom at about 50' with reef gently sloping up towards the surface and shore covered in hard/soft corals and fishes.

A little late, but my daughter and I dove with Native Spirit a couple of years ago, and loved them. We were there in July, and were their only divers the week we were there. Private dives all week!
Lots of good dive sites. Larger fish are south of Point Salines, but those sites tend to be rougher in terms of water conditions. Don't bother with the underwater sculpture garden unless you are willing to research the various statues ahead of time. Without knowing what the artist was trying to convey, they are a bit creepy.
If you are in Grenada, do try and see the rest of the island. The rainforest waterfalls are beautiful. Also try to get to Carriacou for a day. Carriacou is even more laid back than Grenada, and is supposed to have good diving as well.

Like maj2, we found the scul[pture garden under-whelming.

The rest of the marine park was very cool. We could have spent hours there in relatively shallow depths checking out the teeming critter life.

We didn't make it toi Carriacou last trip. Maybe next one!
