Hello everyone,
I am a Business Admin major at the University of New Hampshire and one of my classes this semester requires that I become part of an internet community. In order to find a fitting community I did some research and came up with a few possible forums that I would join. After finding the ScubaBoard I decided that this was definitely the most interesting place to look. When I was younger I was highly interested in Scuba and my father took me to become a certified open water diver. Since then I have gone on many scuba diving trips in the northern part of the Mediterranean Sea, mostly from locations in Greece where my father now lives, where I saw many amazing things (octopus', eels, scorpion fish, baby sharks, rays, as well as various artifacts buried in the ocean sands). Until I came to this web site and read many of the different threads, I did not realize how many different certification and advancement options there were in the world of Scuba. I have also looked at many of the user-submitted pictures and articles and I am amazed at how much there is that still intregues me. Hopefully I can continue to learn from all of your posts and other various content and feed off of other peoples stories. I haven't been diving in about 4 years now (I am currently 21) and I feel that this site will help motivate me to start diving again while I do this study. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing what everyone has to say.
