i have been diving for over 10 yrs and love it. i bought a dacor extreme elle a few yrs back. i have lost a weight
while diving twice now. kinda scarey. wondered if anyone
else has had the same problem.

My wife has an Extremelle, and I have the Nautica (the men's version). You have to be careful about putting too much weight in the drop pockets. (They say 4 pounds max on the labeling, but I'd try to limit it to 3 pounds, max.)

I eventually decided to go back to a weight belt and soft weights. I still use a little bit of weight in the trim pockets some time, but I like my trim better with the belt.

I remember reading somewhere about some conversion kits that added a plastic snap clip to drop pocket releases, but I don't know if it's available for the Extremelle.

Welcome to the board,
Grier

:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue: Look around our various forums - everything from New-To-Scuba to Instructors-Only to Dive Medicine.

I've seen divers lose weight pockets. Not only expensive, but dangerous! I've gone back to my weight belt - XS Scuba, with 6 induvidual pockets.
