Hi my name is Charles, originally from the north-west of England, but now living and working in the sunny (and land locked Czech Republic. The majority of my diving has mainly been on foreign diving holidays, Florida, the Red Sea and Croatia. I've also dived some lakes in the Czech Republic, where ice diving seems to be a particular speciality!

I came across Scubaboard when searching for opinions/reviews on various items of equipment, and found the long discussions on BP/wings versus softpacks very informative.

Ice diving is a particular speciality over here, in fact there is a group of divers who insist ice diving on the Vlatava, near the famous Charles Bridge in Prague every New Year's day! For me ice diving is best on a clear, crisp winters' morning, blue sky overhead. This is about the only time you get decent visibility in Czech lakes anyway, well for the first 3 metres at least. Will post my finding on cold water regulator behaviour in the appropriate forum.

Would like to get back to Florida again I must admit, but now just can't find the time
