Greetings & Merry Christmas from PA,
I'm a newly minted PADI Scuba Diver. I did my certification in Cancun. I am now in the real world of quarries and rivers. I went from skinny-dip diving to Michelin Man diving. BBRRR! I have one checkout dive for my Open Water, which they are "encouraging me" to do on Dec.31. :ice: I think I'm too wussy for that! At least not until I get my own wetsuit.
Diving is something I always wanted to do, and I took the plunge <ahem>. My son is going to get certified next year and has done the Discover Scuba, he loved it too. I've been reading the posts hear for several months. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised by the DIR and divers bias (i.e. ocean divers vs. quarry divers, warm vs. cold, LDS vs. on-line) But it makes for interesting reading.
Anyway, I HAD to post my first one, to get to other stuff. Nothing to contribute, but I'm glad I'm here!
