Greetings from West Central Florida

I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm getting ready for an OW class in about 2 weeks. I've wanted to do this for a long time so excited about finally taking the class.

I've been reading a ton of stuff and buying the basic gear. After I've got a few dives in I'm going to start buying the rest of the gear.

I've got a friend that lives here that dives so if anyone in the Tampa Bay or Orlando area is looking for others to dive with let us know.

Take a look at the Florida Conch Divers area. I haven't had a chance to dive with any of them yet, but I am looking forward to it. Great info about the area.

Good luck with your class and your dives. As Chad said above, just post your info on the Florida Conch Divers forum.

When you plan a dive, start a thread in the Private Trips area, being sure to mention the location and date in the title, and you'll have a good chance of picking up some dive buddies. And you're always welcome to join one of the dives listed there. The more, the merrier!

Recently took several family members of a whirlwhind tour of the Tampa-Crystal river area. Interesting diving in Kings Bay, I'm told, but we were there to snorkel with manatees.
