Hello everyone, glad to be here. If anyone can help me with fin selection please let me know.

Heya welcome to the board!

So you are new to diving? You need to come check out "your" area. We are having a Meet&Greet this weekend if you are interested :) Here is the thread to the Greater Tampa Forum - come check it out and feel free to introduce yourself there - or just post on the chat thread if you would like: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/greater-tampa-bay-area/

Why do ask for help in fin selection? I'm happy to help... where do you plan on doing most of your diving?

Hello Missdirected. Are split fins the way to go? I have some cheap Scuba Max fins and they kill me. I tried my instructors Scuba Pro splits in my pool sessions, and I liked them much better. I've read a great deal, are the Apollo Bio Fins really the best thing on the market? Or should I go ahead and buy a pair of Aeris splits for 100 dollars cheaper? I appreciate your invitation to the Tampa forum, and will definitely check it out. Any help you can provide me with fins is greatly appreciated. I am not well versed in brands, quality, and performance.

Thank you,
Bobby "boatdude"

welcome aboard
