hello all!
my name is mike pozzi. i'm new here and relatively new to diving. i'm a co-owner of The Scuba Connection in the Holiday Inn Lauderdale by the Sea (yes, shameless plug
) and was referred here by a now-fellow board member Marvel after we met at an event we put together last weekend for a reef cleanup operation.
i understand a good many of you heard about it but on such short notice that you really couldn't do much about getting there and participating, and for that i apologize.
hopefully it won't happen again. those that were responsible for marketing the event have been sacked. those that were responsible for sacking those that that were sacked have also been sacked.
anyways, Divers Direct was out there with the grand prize of an Abyss regulator, The Holiday Inn sweetened up 2nd place with a 3-day, 2-night stay, and The Scuba Connection coughed up $50-worth of gift certs for 3rd place. (more shameless plugging, feel free to flame away)
we're looking at doing another one in a few months and that's expressly why i've joined here... to contribute to my ineptitude by surrounding myself with people that know more than me and to get their feedback on how we, as a company, can better serve and improve the sport.
