I just don't log dives
I took up diving when I moved to this part of the world a few years ago, and now I hardly finish one dive trip before I begin to plan the next one. That's easy here, where so many many dive sites are just a very short and cheap flight away.

Still, that doesn't mean I'm just gonna dive in my own backyard, so to speak. And this is where SB comes into the picture with the experiences and combined wisdom of members around the globe. I'm glad you're all out there!

You are right. There are indeed alot of dive sites within reach from where you are :)

Seize every opportunity you can when the season starts. Suggestion : explore them on weekend cos that's how we do it here :54: No doubt that it is abit rush and tiring, but they are worth all that trouble. At least to me and my friends :D

Its nice to travel Quero - but your backyard has some of the best and cheapest diving on the planet! Especially if you like wrecks, whalesharks and manta rays!

The only problem is the bus-ride from KL!

:-) It's *always* the season here! From November to March the best diving in these parts is in Thailand, in the Andaman sea (did two trips to the Similans this time around). From March to November it's time for the South China Sea. Next trip planned for east coast Malaysia: April to Tenggol Island. May or June to Layang Layang.

I travel quite a bit for work anyway (about twice a year across one ocean or another), so I try to work in a few days of diving whenever possible. My next big trip is to Mexico, so guess where I'm thinking of heading??? (hint: begins with a "C")
