Hi and welcome! I'm a UVIC dropout and learned to dive up north at Quadra Island. We're trying to convince our boss to let us move the boat to Vancouver Island and Alaska for a season. Maybe next year.

Welcome!! Any question you have, you can probably find a post about it in the archives, or just ask away and someone will steer you to an answer.

Thank you to all of those that have answered our greeting post to the Scubaboard forum.

Frank and I are counting down the days before our anual party and dive holiday in Phuket, Thailand. We learned our travel lessons in the last three years and this time we will only be taking our old back packs and just buy the cheap cloaths and toilet stuff we need in Phuket. They have three big shopping malls there now and I can think of nothing really to take along except for the specialty food gifts we have started to bring for our friends there. (Yikes) a whole case of Kraft macaroni and cheese dinner for our host's wife. Log books, certification cards, digital camera and some sexy underwear for the master cabin we booked this year on the liveaboard.

Lots of thing to do and finish up before we leave on Monday and we are sure looking forward to it this year. I havn't heard of any scubaboard divers going for the Thai New Year but we are meeting some of our Lonely Planet friends out there again.

Time to do a bit more homework and keep the boss happy before we go, so bye now.

lindsy & Ben
