Mornin', everyone; I figured I should probably go ahead and do an intro post like everyone else.

I've been NAUI Basic certified for the last 4 years, but I'm still a rookie. I did it as a "too good a deal to pass up" type thing ($125 through our school's SCUBA club), figuring I'd probably rarely actually use it. Since getting certified, I've only been on one dive about 3 years ago.

Now, though, I'm ready to get serious about it. Mainly just because I found out that there are TONS of things to see right here in my own backyard, but also because my new girlfriend dives...so damn right I'm going to go with her. :eyebrow:

I don't have anything on the calender just yet, as I'm waiting for the fall semester to get in session so that I can get BCs/regs/tanks from the club for free and save on rental fees. But, once that happens, I intend to be living in the water. The girl and I are also planning to go on a cruise in December, with diving the various ports being the primary objective (thank God she's not a typical shopper girl).

It's good to be here, and I look forward to lurking around and learning.

Cheers,
Clint
