Greetings From Ohio

Hey guys, I'm new around here. I've been diving for almost three years now.

Anyone know of any good diving in ohio, maybe Lake Erie of the Quarries or something?

Lots of great wrecks in Lake Erie, but not a lot of charters that I am aware of. Discovery Dive Charters is about the only one around Cleveland (I am going out with them to dive the Admiral and the Dundee tomorrow). Not sure where you are in Ohio, but White Star, Portage and Gilboa are three of the more popular quarries.

I try to make it out to the quarries or the Lake every weekend with my dive buddies. There are about a half dozen or so of us who go out pretty regularly. Any given weekend 2-4 of us are diving somewhere. We all have drysuits and dive year round. PM me if you want to head out with us some time.

Hi Kevin.

Welcome to the board. I'm headed out to Lake Erie on Saturday as well so I'm gonna make this short. Have to meet my buddies just past the bridge at 7:30am! Doh! Someone else chartered the boat so I'll know who tomorrow but we are headed out near Leamington, ONT. I know at least three divers are meeting at White Star Quarry on Sunday. The thread is in the GLWC under the Trips and Local Marketplace sub-heading.

What part of Ohio do you call home?

Regarding quarries, Whitestar and Gilboa are the two that I prefer.

For any Lake Erie diving, I prefer to head towards New York and catch Osprey Dive Charters out of Barcelona, NY (just across the border from PA). It's the premier Lake Erie charter, and maybe one of the top 5 on the Great Lakes.
